Finion Template V 2.1.0 Needed Prior To Updating From J4 To J5?

I am in the process of updating all the extensions and the template on a website that I'll be updating to Joomla 5. The site is currently running Joomla 4.4.14 and I've updated everything except:

  • Finion Template 2.0.1 (version 2.1.1 shows as available)
  • Helix Framework 2.1.1 (version 2.2.4 shows as available) and
  • SP Page Builder 5.3.2 (version 6.3.1 shows as available)

Are these newer version compatible with Joomla 4.4.14? Or will I need to update to a version in between these latest versions and then after updating to Joomla 5 update them to the latest version?

Hi Heather,

If I were you I would do that AFTER Joomla upgrade to Joomla 5. Yep, Ignore Joomla warining installer messages about those Helix and SPPB. Always - Backup first!

Honest Advice!

If you have extra 30min, recover site backup on subdomain, and there make upgrade process first, otherwise in case of emergency on live site.... you can get a angry call from client that site is crashed. Becuase with J4>J5 anything could happen. Hopefully for you, that site is small.
