this message is a follow-up to the issue I reported yesterday regarding problems after installing the Newsberg template.

During further testing, I encountered an additional error:

When trying to install another extension (Simple Image Gallery), the installation fails with the following messages:

“Database not set in Joomla\CMS\Installer\Installer” “Error installing component”

This suggests that the issue is not limited to language installation, but affects the Joomla installer system more broadly.

In combination with the previously reported issues:

Language installation failing (manifest error) SP Page Builder database issue (“One Problem”)

this may indicate a deeper conflict or installation problem.

Could you please advise:

What causes the “Database not set” error in the Joomla installer? Whether this could be related to the Newsberg template installation How to restore proper extension installation functionality
