New legislation requires specific fuctionality for Easystore

Asked by Pierre Veelen (siteadmin) 3 days ago Last activity 3 days ago

As a result of new legislation taking effect in November 2026, a number of requirements will be imposed on online stores in the Netherlands. In that context, the following questions:

  1. It must be possible to pay in installments. In other words, the customer pays a maximum of 50% in the online store.
After that, the retailer must ship the product. Once the customer has received the product, they should then pay the remaining balance. Is it possible to configure this in the current version of Easystore? Does this require the Pro version?
And how should this be configured?
  2. A button must be added to the website (as required by law) to allow customers to cancel their purchase within 14 days of the purchase date. Is this configurable in Easystore? If so, how? Or is this only possible in the Pro version?
    Awaiting your reply, Regards, Pierre

Hi Pierre,

Thank you for your feedback.

Both the instalment payment feature and the 14-day withdrawal button are already in the development stage. Our team is working on these features, and we will share further updates once more information is available.

Kind regards
