Our plans for Joomla 4

At JoomShaper, we are working hard to ensure a great experience for you and your audience while using Joomla 4 with our products. We will continuously keep reviewing these efforts as the Joomla 4 development team updates the project status. Here we’re discussing our plans focusing our way to Joomla 4.

Plan regarding our Joomla templates

Our primary concern is to make sure that you can use our products smoothly. That’s why our first priority is to provide you 100% Joomla 4 support in our templates. Since the Joomla 4 core has had a major change, ensuring 100% support would be a real challenge. But don’t worry, we promise to provide Joomla 4 support on all our Helix3 and Helix Ultimate based templates. We have a dedicated team already working on Joomla 3.x to 4.x compatibility on Joomla 4 alpha releases. So, by the time Joomla 4.0 RC comes out we are confident that we will be fully prepared.

Plan regarding our Joomla components and extensions

Since extensions are more about functionality and Joomla core has been changed significantly, it may have some substantial impacts on how Joomla extensions work. As it’s a functionality game, we expect some architectural renovation in our Joomla extensions. As you already know our dedicated team is working with every alpha release, we can certainly say that all the extensions based on Joomla 3 will be 100% supported as soon as the Joomla 4.0 stable version releases.

Wrapping up

Although it sounds overwhelming, we are really thrilled to take this challenge and keep pace with the latest innovations. In the meantime, you can also try the test releases of Joomla 4, and share your thoughts, expectations, and opinions with us. Remember, we encourage you to try these experimental versions of Joomla 4 on localhost, not on live sites. All the best with your explorations. Happy developing.
