Joomla 4 Support

Joomla 4 is right around the corner! It comes with a large functionality improvement along with a completely new admin interface and improved codebase. As Joomla 4 Beta 5 was just released on 27 October 2020, we’ve also been working to make our products compatible with them.

That’s why with this update we have made your favorite page building tool fully compatible with the newer builds of Joomla 4. You can now use SP Page Builder with any Joomla 4 build and enjoy the latest features.

New Database Maintenance Script

SP Page Builder Pro v3.7.5 Update

With the new update, there’s a maintenance script that will detect whether your database is up-to-date. If the database structure is not up to date, then the script will detect that and will give you an option to update the structure. All you have to do is click on the Update SP Page Builder Database to keep things running smoothly.

Note: Do not forget to take a backup of your old database before updating!

Completely Redesigned Admin Interface

SP Page Builder Pro v3.7.5 Update

SP Page Builder 3.7.5 comes with a completely redesigned admin interface to embed the modern look and make it more user friendly. It’s designed with improved UI & UX, and additional features like joining our community support, access to documentation and support team right from the About page to manage your Joomla site with ease.

Let's take a look at the redesigned About section of SP Page Builder v3.7.5.

SP Page Builder Pro v3.7.5 Update

Awesome, right? To conclude it now has a more improved structure that makes website maintenance more flexible and easier.

Container Width & Column Gap Options

SP Page Builder Pro v3.7.5 Update

Set the container width and gap between each column with the updated SP Page Builder Pro. We have added a Container Width option and a Gap Between Columns option to the Container Styling Settings so that you can easily tweak your site width & layout and view the changes live.

Page Export and Import in the Lite Version

This one is going to make the lite version users happy! We have added the page export and import functionality for the SP Page Builder lite version as well. Now you can export any page and save them for later use. It is going to save you a lot of time and work!

Other Notable Improvements

What’s so great about today’s update is it not only includes new features but also brings huge improvements to the already existing ones. We have optimized the visual editor performance, front-end visual editor UX, integrations, and fixed many known issues. You have to try yourself to see how massive the update is!

Hurry up! Update your favorite page building tool as soon as possible. Enjoy the finest experience of building websites with the mighty SP Page Builder v3.7.5, and let us know how you feel about it in the comments. Enjoy!

Note: Do not forget to take a backup of your old database before updating! Also, clear your browser cache after the update to prevent loading or formatting issues.

And where can I see all the fixes that have been fixed?

Nice work, BUT:

There are issues with the UI:
* Category view switches back to Joomla 3 UI
* Addon-Labels are overlapping: https://ibb.co/LSY2QnS and https://ibb.co/gdZSK8M

German translation of Headline is false: It should be Überschrift, not "Kopfzeile" (=Header).

In this update, does the update kill the code generated that wants to connect to google fonts irrespective of non google fonts selected when editing fonts in pagebuilder? Or have a kill switch? Does this update have better generated (i.e. slimmer) code for faster page loading? I'm almost at the stage when I will go back to hand coding html pages! :-) I want fast loading, great looking pages with no bloat or unnecessary code being generated as in sp-pagebuilder 3.7.3.

it's good to know, pagebuilder will be ready for joomla 4, but i also have to stress the issues happydancer brings up.
I think the admin interface of pagebuilder is/was near perfect, but in terms of SEO so many things could be integrated and improved - for example, every page still loads the entire "sppagebuilder.css" and "sppagebuilder.js" files and only very few addons load seperate styles/scripts when they really need to. This is something that could be integrated quite easily - at least for new templates. A huge Issue because of Google's "Unused Code" directive.

Another thing that lacks since years is a media manager that provides cropping and compressing of images which could increase pagespeed drastically (yes, lazy-loading is a great "work-around", but no real solution).
As a developer making a SPPB-website Google PageSpeed-Ready gets drastically harder every month, since Google gets pickier all the time...Manually doing it for every new site is no solution for the future...

thanks for taking at least some points of happydancer and me in consideration :-)

We thank you for your support and continuous updating of the system

I upgraded the tool, but I encountered a problem as the formatting of all my pages became unordered and all the formatting became to the left, and the admin screen also had a defect in formatting, I had to downgrade the old version.

I hope all options in the tool have been tested and to be stable before I upgrade it again.
