Hi, i am used Trove to build an ecommerce site, please how do i disable the zip code field at the checkout form? see attached screenshot,

Sorry, it is not possible. You need to customize the component for this. But it is not recommended.

i just feel the zip code field ought to be optional like j2 store does made it optional and whoever wants to disable should be able to do so.

We have got the first request from you. Let's see if we get more users wanting this. Then we will decide if we would change this. This is a core feature and to change this, we have to check a lot of things.
