Nuron Template update

Hello,

It would be great if you can update the Nuron template also.

It says it is compatible or you can update it to Joomla 5 but what I have tried it won't.

An existing installation with the latest Joomla 4.4.10 version gives a 500 error when I switch MAMP from MySQL 5.7.44 to MySQL 8.0.40. Joomla 5 needs at least 8.0.13. It asks for it when I try to update form 4.4.10 tot version 5.2.3

When I try a fresh installation with the Nuron template it gives deprecated PHP errors.
with PHP 8.3.14 (and MySQL 5.7.44)

I read here that there were plans to fix and update it last month but now with the new update list on February 12th Nuron isn't still there.

I hope it will be up to date very soon. It is a popular template.

Actually, the issue was related to the Atum template. It may have been corrupted during the last Joomla upgrade.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We recommend trying a fresh installation with PHP 8.0 instead. While you can update Joomla, please note that there are override addons that might cause issues during the process.

We will inform our management about this, and if they decide to proceed with an update, it will be released soon.

Hello,

Already 6 months you guys promise an update of the Nuron template but still it isn't there. I really feel bad about it because a website of client needs this update. On October 14 the (security) updates of Joomla 4.4 will end.
You can't say I haven't had enough patience? Here in Holland when we promise something we do it.

Thank you for your patience. The Nuron Template has been updated and just needs to be reviewed before upload. Everything depends on management’s decision, so it’s out of my hands.

Hello,

I have updated the Nuron template and SP Page Builder (v6.2.2) and also Helix Ultimate (v2.2.3)
and Joomla to 5.4.1 with PHP 8.4.15

When I want to check the overrides in de Nuron template in the backend I get an error

"There is no "com_template.admin-template-compare" asset of a "script" type in the registry

On the frontend the Group Icons Add On has a different layout then before.

I hope you can figure out what causes these issues.

Thanks for your solution.

What about the override error in the backend? Like I mentioned in my earlier message, I get an error message when I want to check the overrides in the Nuron template.

About the SP Builder language... I have installed Dutch language there. Is it possible to switch back to English? It works when you set the Administrator language of Joomla to English it switches also in SP Page Builder. But I want SP Page Builder in English and Joomla backend in Dutch. But I don't see a possibility to deactivate the Dutch language after installing it in SP Page Builder?

Hello,

Please provide the correct administrator URL, as the current one redirects me to the main site.

Regarding SP Page Builder: if you installed Dutch as the Joomla admin language, the SP Page Builder component will still appear in English by default. It does not automatically translate into Dutch. To see SP Page Builder in Dutch, you need to install the Dutch language from SP Page Builder’s settings.

Hello,

Please, try the URL again.

I have already installed Dutch language in SP Page Builder's settings. But I want it back to English.
Joomla admin language is Dutch but I want SP Page Builder back to English without changing Joomla admin language to English also.
I don't see a possibilty to de-activate Dutch language after installing it in SP Page Builder or to change it to English again.

Can you please tell me what you have done/changed with the language file so I know it by myself in the future?
Indeed SP Page Builder backend is in English now but Dutch is still activated.

And what about the overrides error for the Nuron template? Can you check that also for me?

I have uninstall Dutch language sp page builder file from extensions. Check screenshot.

Override issues:

This is a known issue in Joomla 5.4.1 related to the template compare asset in the administrator (Atum). It is a core Joomla issue, not caused by our product.

Please try the following:

Update Joomla to the latest 5.x version
Clear Joomla cache (System → Clear Cache)
Clear browser cache and reload the page

After updating, the error should be resolved.

Hello Ziaul,

I have done an update to the latest Joomla version 6.0.1 and everything works fine but I still get an override error.

This time it says: Call to undefined method stdClass::get()

I can't even reach the templates.

I know it is not your product cause I have done a fresh installation with the Nuron Quickstart template and there I don't get the error.

I have searched everywhere but can't find the solution. Empty the cache and browser cache doesn't work. Also to deactivate extensions form third parties doesn't give a positive result.
If you with your knowledge have any idea I would appreciate it very much to hear it.

The error you’re seeing:

Call to undefined method stdClass::get()

occurs because the code is trying to call $object->get('property') on a plain stdClass object. In PHP, stdClass objects don’t have a get() method — you can only access their properties directly using ->property.

In this case, the error comes from:

JRoot/administrator/templates/atum/html/com_templates/templates/default.php:100

You should check that line and either access the property directly, like $object->property, or wrap the object in a Joomla Registry if you need to use the get() method.

Making this change should resolve the “undefined method get()” error.

With your instructions I managed to change the undefined method get() error.
I was happy cause I could reach the templates again but when I click on the Nuron template to see the files I got this error:

0 There is no "com_templates.admin-template-compare" asset of a "script" type in the registry.

Empty site and browser caches etc. doesn't resolve the problem.
Do maybe old template files causes this issue?

I hope you can help with the last step to resolve this. After that I can update the site in production.

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this. I have reviewed the issue, and it appears that the error is caused by your template override located at:

administrator/templates/atum/html/com_templates/template/default.php

This override is trying to load a JavaScript asset (com_templates.admin-template-compare) that is no longer available in Joomla 6.

To resolve this:

Clear Joomla cache and expired cache from System → Clear Cache.
Ensure you are using the latest version of Helix Ultimate.
If the issue persists, you may need to update or remove the override in:

administrator/templates/atum/html/com_templates/template/

Renaming or removing this override will allow Joomla to use the default template file.

Once these steps are done, the backend should function correctly without errors.

Hello Ziaul,

After renaming or removing the override I got the get() error again. I really drives me crazy.

What I have done is copying the atum folder (JRoot/administrator/templates/atum) from a fresh local installation with the latest Joomla and Nuron template.

I replaced it on the test location. Don't know if it is the right way but now everything works like it should.
