Can't update Helix Joomla says file is too big?

Good day all, I'm trying to update Helix template but I can't update Helix Joomla says file is too big?

How do I fix this?

Have you corrected PHP setting already?

I did up to 16MB as you suggested but Joomal says only 2 MB? I edited the php.ini.

Hi Joe,

  1. What is "Helix Joomla" ? Helix Ultimate template , right?

  2. The file: helixultimate_template_v2.2.4.zip has 2,7 MB, if you cannot upload it, it means that you have very low limits in PHP settings.

Easy to check: /administrator/index.php?option=com_admin&view=sysinfo

First line "Upload Max Filesize" value, if you have 2M there, you have the answer. And you have to go to Hosting Panel, and change setting.

These are my personal settings, but a value of 16M or 32M should be sufficient for your typial needs.

Thank you Paul, sorry it's the template 2.7MB I beleive it is.

You can only update the template or the plugin through the Joomla Extensions Update system. The Quickstart package is for a different purpose, as noted in the Helix documentation.

Hosting Support may help, if changes in php.ini file didn't.
