Offcanvas menu not populating in Shaper_medico

Asked by Alex R. 2 months ago Last activity 2 months ago

In the Shaper_medico template, the default menu items do not appear in the offcanvas menu, adding modules to offcanvas positions also does nothing. In the HTML we can see an empty div.

<div class="offcanvas-overlay"></div>

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best regards,

Hi,

The issue has been resolved.

A fix was applied to JRoot/templates/index.php (lines 173–184). Instead of blindly using the default offcanvas_style value (1-LeftAlign), the template now first checks whether the corresponding offcanvas style folder exists under:

templates/shaper_medico/offcanvas/

Since that folder was missing and the template style parameters did not contain an offcanvas_style value, the template was silently falling back to the default, causing getOffcanvasStyle() to return an empty string.

With the fix in place, the template now automatically falls back to the module-position-based offcanvas markup whenever the selected offcanvas style is unavailable. This approach is fully compatible with the existing main.js and offcanvas.scss, and since the Offcanvas module is already published in the offcanvas position, the menu content is rendered correctly.

Thanks
