Developer question - How to check for integration in code

Asked by pepperstreet 5 years ago Last activity 4 years ago

Hello,
I am curious how I would check a page's context or mode. For instance:
native page vs. article integration

How do I know, if a page is a native SPPB page or if it lives inside a J! core article?

Maybe I am thinking to complicated, and everything can be done via url/context or
Factory -> getApplication -> input -> getCmd

And a related question:
Does a page or the pagebuilder component have any special events/triggers ?

Any advice and technical info is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hello pepperstreet,
We don't have any event for checking if a content is from the Joomla article or page builder. We manage that from a content plugin. So, how we determine the situation? We've stored a flag into the table #__sppagebuilder named active. If the active value is 1 that means the Pagebuilder editor is activate for the article, otherwise the default Joomla editor is using for the article.

Hope you've got the point.

Hi. If it helps, in Helix Ultimate you can detect it via body classes

Thanks, Pavel! But that's not my actual issue. I am looking for a programmatic / coding info.
