Lost Fonts, Margins Etc. Since 2.5.8 | Shaper_helix3

Hello there,

we discovered serious troubles with new versions of the shaper helix 3 which we use with a lot of websites. The last version that worked properly was 2.5.8. At all later version including the newest 3.0.2 we experienced following issues:

In the hidden content you can find the access data to one of the affected websites.

  • Fonts are getting lost (in the example below: "Josefin Sans" is not displayed)
  • Margins are not set correctly
  • Sometimes even colors like the font color of the menue are not displayed as they sould.

Could you please fix this or tell us why this is? Thank you! Mia

Hi Mia,

About Fonts - I will check right now.

About Margins - all seems to be OK. The only "big" difference was changing Bootstrap3 to Bootstrap 5 - but it shouldn't touch areas created by SPPB which uses its own styles.

About Menu colors - looks OK, you have 4 menu items, and hover and active color works OK. Maybe it was your browser or Joomla cache.

If you can make screenshot or video what is wrong and share link - then it will be easier to talk & help

Now you have installed Helix3 v2.5.8

BTW

I tested on mine own site, Helix3 3.0.2 and Josefin Sans fonts worked Good (OK) no issues.

Hello Paul,

thanks for your response. I think there was a misunderstandig: The website I sent you in the hidden content-area wasn't updated yet. We installed it so you can update it with the latest helix-version and see yourself, that the template settings are not working properly after that. Once you update to any version after 2.5.8, the template settings are still there (you can see them in the backend) but not displayed in the frontend. E.g: I installed Josefin Sans in the template settings (>typography), it worked perfectly under 2.5.8. But after the update, there is no Josefin Sans in the frontend.

Do you understand what I mean? Thanks! Mia

Can you share site (and access if you can) where there is a problem with Font, I wondering why it works on my private site and not on yours.

Admin setting should also work - always check on two different browsers.

Hello Paul,

I posted the site in the hidden content area. I'll do it again. Please remeber that this site is NOT updated yet so that you could do it and see the unwanted changes yourself.

Thanks! Mia

Edit: In the typography settings tab: the bodyfont, the heading1font and the heading2font are not working anymore after the update.

In that topic there is the most current Google Fonts list, so you don't need any API >> https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/10947

But if you are German webmaster, I don't recommend using Google Fonts anymore. Why? Becuase of German Court sentence from Jan 2022. Here is my post https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-3/google-fonts-and-dsgvo

More info you can find in German blogs, magazines. Please be 2x careful.
