Can The Ordering Of Articles Be Set To ORDERING?

Using the Addon: Articles and have a category set so that effectively a category blog is displayed of the articles in that category.
There are various options for setting the ordering of articles within the addon: Latest, Oldest, Popular, Featured Only, Alphabet ascending, Alphabet descending and random.
There is no 'ordering' so no way for the user to control a special order
Is there a method to control the order via the ordering of articles or is this something can be added to the wish list?

It's already on our list-to-do, but we all (I also) have to wait for this feature.
So I guess, you have to use ALTERNATIVE news module for now.

Accepted AnswerMany thanks, good to know. Second question (but related) With the article addon, it appear not to display custom fields in the intro text, they pull through as {field 1} {field 2} is there something I need to do to turn these on?
