Customizing The Look For Articles

Hi,

I would like to add customization of my Joomla article. I'm using Helix Ultimate on Joomla 4.

These are the things I would like to customize:

  1. narrow the main text body section (I want to show about 14 words (not letters))
  2. In the "related articles", I would like to add more spacing to separate this section more from the author bio section
  3. in the related articles, I would like to add three article (as it is there now) but the change the layout to show a thumbnail lined up horizontally across.
  4. Add some decoration to the body space now that the article body section is narrower.

Example page of it's current layout: https://forteinnovations.com/component/content/article/do-you-want-to-risk-not-reporting-taxes-on-your-cryptocurrency-trading?catid=10&Itemid=101

Thanks for your guiding.

Thanks Pavel. Very good response and tips. I don't mind doing development at all. I was able to follow and implement the changes. I'm grateful for your guide.

I would like to suggest that you share this Joomla tutorial that I found that was very useful to anyone who is like me next time.

Hi. All it can be done via css only. Not so difficult, but the skills are required.

You can write the code directly in the code inspector, then copy and paste in the custom.css file.

Here is example

But if you do not have skills, just hire someone for this work. As far as I know, this is outside the support of Joomshaper

Hi Ronny,

Pavel is right, we do not provide the customization support. You can follow Pavels instructions and also give that css on this path below:

Path towards custom CSS: Extensions>Templates>Styles> Click on your current default template name then choose Template Options. Then find custom CSS within the custom code.

-Thanks for being with us,

-Regards.

Hi Mehtaz.

This is not a good place for global CSS code, as it will be added to <head></head> as inline style. And it will worsen the page speed.

Always recommend to users add CSS code to the custom.css file.

And by the way it is written in the Helix documentation
