Recommendation For A File Download-system, Which Works With SPPB?

I was wondering, if anyone has a recommendation for a good file download system, which works together with SPPB?

I tried OSDownload, but I can´t use it together with SPPB, as it doesnt allow to add button code like below in text within SPPB:

{osdownloads download_button 1 "Download"}

This will be shown as code, not as button on frontend. I also tried to add this code into a Module, set the module to "Prepare Content", and then integrated the module within SPPB, but same result: It only shows the code.

Hi All, Just a question, or proposal for improvement. How is it possible to know how much time a file was downloaded ? (for example, a text below or somewhere else like "this file was downloaded X times" ) Thanks Bertrand

If I may....

SPPB doesn't have such a feature to count number of downloads.

For this purpose you have to use download component or module from it.
