small human mistake, you forgot to add that page into menu, as home page menu item.

Right now your home page shows Articles view (featured) and becuase you don't have any, no content.

Maybe watch some Joomla basics tutorials on youtube, for example: https://youtu.be/UJ0osbZVdgc?t=145

and yes, short aliases from menu items works for all Joomla components, core and extra installed.

I was excited to be actually using the builder that I had forgotten the small step (important step) to make it live.

Bob, we are all learning whole life, so nothing to be worry.

Hopefully nowadays we have blogs, youtube tutorials, books.... in 2005 when I started it was almost nothing, but on the other hand, the CMS was more "basic" compare to current version and extensions list/features.
