Simple Portfolio Issue

Hi, I have just downloaded and installed Simple Portfio on Rythm template, and recieve the following error message in the items menu:

1064You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near ') ORDER BY id ASC' at line 3

Please explain how to resolve this issue?
