These articles are generic and do not cover my issue. Did you look at the informaion I provided? This is a pagebuilder specific error as far as I can tell.

How do I prevent SEO duplicate errors from showing as follows

domain.com/component/sppagebuilder/?view=page&id=56
domain.com/easi-set-precast-restroom-buildings-single

view page is not an error I get on any of my other non-page builder sites.

Hello Gerald W

If I ain't wrong, then this is the page shows 404 error for creating duplicate content. It might be caused due to same content on different URLs. The easiest solution is to use Canonical URL. Another solution is 301 redirection activation.

If I may....

Google index only what could index, so if somehow in content you used old link with "?view=page&id=56" probably Google indexed and remember it. And Yes, It's very common mistake.

My suggestion is:

  1. Go to Google Search Console and manually remove (request to remove) that "wrong" not needed URL.
  2. Search database (you can use also Joomla component or PHPMyAdmin) for that link, and correct link. Of course, do not change in Menu table.
  3. Add redirection for that link in htaccess or by using Akeeba Tool > URL Redirection.
  4. Then wait for Google response.

As I saw Your website sitemap.xml now is correct, so it was perhaps a single incident.

No that is not the issue. This website was never published with that URL. The website was developed non-published and not indexed in development.

So from where you know that you have duplicate that may harm your SEO?

Every Joomla component, even core Articles, have two possible links: default long one and short if it was added to menu, as menu item. And Google index only that one who can see or website or sitemap.

How do I stop sppagebuilder from creating a direct non-menu link? I have installed canonical URLS. I have checked the sitemap and these non-menu URLs do not appear. I have never used the non-menu link.
SEMRush is treating the SPPageBuilder links as 14 issues with duplicate title tags 14 pages have duplicate content issues 14 pages have duplicate meta descriptions
