I reach my site with this call: https://mydomain/pagebuilder. Where do
I put the .htaccess and .htpasswd files to protect this site?

Hello Kurt Luks

The . htaccess file is in the base folder for the Joomla installation. Typically on a cpanel hosting account, this will be /public_html/ where the site is installed. I am not sure about the other file. I think it should be on the same location. You can consult your hosting provider about this.
