Headers And SP Page Builder Pro

SP Page Builder 3 years ago

Hi, I've been doing some testing working out how best to use the builder and just wanted to check something

If you go to the site/page provided, you will see that the Styles I defined in Preset Header 1 are respected in the SP Page Builder Page but when I used the same Style - h1 - in the content of the Text Box add-on it used what I'm guessing is the default joomla value. Would that mean I shouldn't use styles in the Content but instead used, as I did there use Header add-on?

Also, if you go to Another Test Article page, it uses a default Joomla Article as opposed to an SP Page, you'll see all the styles are the default Joomla ones. Would that mean I couldn't use articles or am I just doing it wrong? My concern is that some extensions only seem to work off Articles, not SP Pages Thank you

Hi SPD,

  1. From what element (row or addon) you would use H1 - it doesn't matter at all. Just remember to do not use h1 twice, this same if we talk about h2. Just try to use this same method on every single page to keep similar structure easier to rememeber. In my sites, as 1st H1 - I use Row title or Page title (from menu item settings).

  2. In general Page views do not have any default styles, they are like a white sheets of paper prepared for a designer or/and copy-writer.

  3. Article view - yes it contain default styles, content conatiner, and extra elements (social share, nagivation, author, date) from Joomla itself etc.

Mr. Frankowski, once again you come to my aid. I think I understand now. Be consistent with where I decided to put heading and in general think of a Text Box add-on as just straight text, maybe with some bold/italic or something would be fine I guess, but no styles or similar. Good Stuff and duly noted :-) Unfortunately I do have another question on the way... maybe it'll be yer lunch/dinner break by then.

You can define H1 style for whole website using custom CSS (used in template) - this is also a solution.
