SP Page Builder: I Disabled "Google Fonts" In The Options, But Add-Ons Of SPPB Still Use "Heebo" Font Somehow.

Hi all,

i use SP Page Builder Pro 3.8.7 (with Template Helix Ultimate 2.0.9 at the moment)

In the options I disabled to load Google Fonts, but a lot of add-ons still use "Heebo" font family even it is not defined in the add-on or somewhere else. This ends up in that you see a times-roman-kind of font in the browser even the standard of my website is "Arial".

When i examine the CSS i see for example "#sppb-addon-1589778056657 .sppb-addon-title { font-family:"Heebo"; }". Does someone knows where this Heebo still comes from and how i can controle this and get rid of it?

Any help would be very welcomed.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best Regards Marco.

UND

You can install & use component DB Replacer Free (regularlabs.com/dbreplacer) and just remove "Heebo" font name from all pages just by 3 clicks - if somehow it irritates you.

Hi Marco,

Font name can be in styles, that opion does not DELETE settings, so the main question is: does that font is loaded in HTML code from Google server ? Check in source code preview.

Check also Typograhy in Helix - Template Options. Any Google Font is enabled there?

Hello Paul,

thank you very much for your investigation and answer.

i checked Template Typography in helix: Only "Arial" selected in all sections. I also checked all "style" elements of the add-ons on the pages and the page itself: no Heebo. It seems that somehow a few components of sp page builder default to "Heebo" when no font is selected in the sppb component. Is this font loaded from the google server?: that is exactly what i want to achieve: that nothing is loaded from google. That is why i switched off the google fonts, but it somehow use Heebo as a default. Example where it does this: in the navigation font family of the "Tabs" add-on. When i look in the database in the text column of the sppagebuilder table i find ...."nav_font_family":"Heebo",...., but when i look in the sppagebuilder editor there is no selection made in the "naviagtion font family" dropdown list. It says "Select..."

I also cannot remember that i ever used Heebo as a font on the website before.

Is it probably a kind of default?

Regards Marco.

I will return to my question: do you see Google font link inside front-end HTML code?

<link href="//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Heebo....

  1. Have you seen in SP Page Builder Options there is On/Off for Google Fonts.

Hi Paul,

  1. No there is no link like the one you mentioned in the source code of the page.
  2. That SP Page Builder Options switch is what i used: so because of this switch turned to "off google fonts" it didn't load google fonts anymore and so i saw that these add-ons use "Heebo", because without loading from Google anymore these texts default to an ungly times new roman font.

Thank you. Best Regards Marco.

ad 1) So nothing to worry. No connection with Google. Font Name is just a name that left from the past settings.

ad 2) You can set different font for whole website: Arial, Tahoma from Template Options - Typography - Body - Arial etc. OR load Google fonts locally from your German hosting ( >> https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-3/google-fonts-and-dsgvo)

Alternative method:

body, h1, h2, h3, h5, h6, li, a, span, p {font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif;}
