Hope - Change Menu Colors & Background

Hello, I'd like to change the font color and background color of the main menu in the template, but I can't find where to do this.

What's more, I need to have enough space to put an other menu before the main menu, in the same place : In order to gain in accessibility, you need to have a first top menu, before anything else, with a link to the site map, like in this website : https://ideance.net/fr/, but if I just put the 2 menus in the same module, that's not really nice, and on the sticky menu, the second one is not on the black background.

Could you help me on these 3 points ? thanks a lot, and I think it could be usefull if this (accessibility question) could be included in other templates from the scratch.

Regards Caroline

Hi Caroline,

about accessibility I also recommend to install extra accessibility plugin to have/add some extra features.

ad 1) Only via custom CSS. If template is based on Helix, use that for main header

#sp-header
{background: black;}

About having menu with two rows menu items - by default it's not possible with Helix MegaMenu - so you have to use different Menu module for that, search on JED in commercial extensions. But as I know it's not needed by Accessibility rules, one row menu is still OK, correct.

I Paul, thanks, I'll see for the background color. For the extra accessibily plugin, working in innovation & disability, I had a lot of discussions on this subject. that's not of any use if the website isn't well constructed. Usually it's more marketing than everything else because users have products and solutions they use when searching internet. They don't need, on a website, a menu to change font size for example. They need all websites to be well structured : for example, if I put, like I need, an menu with the website map on the top of the page, a blind person will find it really easily. If this link is in the bottom, or in a module you can't access landing on the page, it's not usefull. They sometimes have to click 40 times to find the usefull link. That's the difference between the law (no need in Accessibility rules) and the use (needed for high quality of use).

It's called UX. No matter if you're "blind" or not.

2nd part is a good color constrast, people often forget about that.

Accessibility law is general, whole rest are good web practices.
