Building A Multilingual Site

Hello, I'm building a multilingual site and I'm wondering about category management in SP Page Builder.

After tests I know that it is possible to create a category by language or a category (language: All) hosting pages in several languages.

Whether we have few or many pages, is it interesting to have each category and sub-category of page in its own language?

I haven't seen any specifics on this in the documentation.

Thanks

Categories from Pages - are not used on front-end, so no extra meta, images etc. They are for Admin order purpose only.

You can use Categories only from Articles (!) for SEO etc.

Hi,

If we talk about SPPB 3.x - there are only categories, no subcategories. Categories are for admin purpose only, we didn't plan to use them on front-end. But yes you can create categories for the order purpose : English, Spanish, Italian, French and just assign pages to it.

Yes, each page can be assigned to different language or to "all".

Here is Search Filter from SPPB 3.x (J4.1.5 view)

Sorry, I forgot to specify that the management of categories and subcategories is only useful on the back-office side.

But as within the categories we can indicate the META tags, an image, a description, ... I asked myself the question.

So using categories by language or not does not change anything in multilingual functioning and SEO management. It is only for ranking the pages in the back-office
