Need To Deliver To Production Today - Several Issues With SPPB 4.0.3

Hi there; I have several issues after upgrading to SPPB 4, and later to SPPB 4.0.3 Things doesn't look like the editor. I've added some CSS code trying to fix, but I'm not an expert.

For example:

  1. In editor, I see this section like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1umgwYCVGgo8OetCnZksbYP98tjJ7JHq5/view?usp=sharing

with some CSS, I got it to look right on the front end, like before the update to 4.0.3 (in 3.8 and 4 it looked right), but in the SPPB editor still looks like previous image https://drive.google.com/file/d/15mLsgBrq3JR1m-qbhjC_4Z02zXLEDUSO/view?usp=sharing

2 ) This section needs to look like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ppvc2vNImsFkiYd1ImXHlr8_rzXXXQoK/view?usp=sharing Equal columns, buttons over the picture with some photo on both sides of the button. I've opened this case. Messed 2 colums design, after update. I've fixed recreating this section from scratch. https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/16626#qa-answer-79732 But today, I have the buttons messed up. Don't know why. Nothing changes in this section after closing the ticket. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OwEHg6tYe5-3jBKiplTL-5-Oh7CXFljJ/view?usp=sharing

  1. In home, I have some similar section. I have a screenshot previous to some design fixes (I've made the the margins equal to both sides after this screenshot) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DiW1Ifs-nGuOU8MLfb8swfN2tZw_hxSr/view?usp=sharing

Today, looks like this (with the same parameters) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yKZ3glYAqtoiC-EpaybgVq7rhyK0vnzl/view?usp=sharing

So, the big question is: Spend more time to fix this (and expect to work on new fixes over next updates?) Or back to 3.8 version, fix everythin and stay there? What do you suggest? I need to deliver this site today to production. But don't want to spend more hours in the future fixing things.

The development site is https://mikmac.ar/airedeproa

I guess we need to wait for a new release. I say also that migration from 3 to 4 was not so smooth. Some class ID's where not translate.

I your case it seems it has indeed todo with the new 4.0.3. Have you the possibility to install the version before?

Also dit you clear the cache of you browser and Joomla? Sometimes this will help also.

To be clear, I am not a support person from Joomshaper, but have a lot of experience with Joomla and Joomshaper. The new PB 4 is nice, but my feeling it yet not for a migration from 3.8.8 to to 4. New site should be no issue.

Hi Ginius, how are you? This site was created in J4 from scratch, based in Travus. The home was imported from Luxyort template using SPPB. Worked with SPPB 3 first, and then, updated to SPPB 4.0.1 Then, updated to SPPB 4.0.3

In this case, basically, I only replaced images, text and color

All the things I've mentioned in this case are the result of the 4.0.3 update

I've made a backup before each update. I used a backup (in other server) and fixed over the 4.0.1 version, to temporarily deliver the work to the customer.

But, what can I expect in future updates? I'll need to fix over and over the site with every update? Should I stay without updating SPPB so that the site does not break?

I don't think things should work like this.

Hi Miguel,

Everythng fine here.

I totaly agree that updates are not the way, we as customers, expect. Due to the fact SP4 is brand new (just released), we can expect issues in live situation.

Before JoomShaper brought this new version there were a lot of alpha version and release candidates. These test went well and lot of issues where already solved. Otherwise there was no production version.

My suggestion should be, if its working ín the previous version use that one on production. Keep the developement version so that you can test to see when a new release is launced if your issues are solved in that version.

That is the way I should go.
