Helix Framework 3 years ago

After installing Helix Ultimate 2.0.11 today i get this error when trying to access my Joomla 4 admin panel: *"Error 500 - Internal server error An internal server error has occured! Please try again later." I have tried restoring all my database backups and every recent Akeeba Pro backup to no avail. Public access to the site is available but I can no longer post updates the Joomla admin panel. The website and admin panel worked perfectly for several months prior to this Helix update. Help please. Richard Jones

Hi Richard,

without FTP access, I cannot do anything.

Maybe ask hosting support to recover full website from yesterday backup, they should make regular backups and keep them for 7-10 days.

Files, this time, are the most important. From folder templates and plugins. Only those in big shortcut.

SOrry, I couldn't login in. Error 503 Login incorrect

  1. PHP version you have there? If PHP 8.2 it may casue problems. Back to PHP 8.1

  2. Have you tried to recover files backup as I suggested? do it

Checked site is using PHP 8.1. I also tried PHP 8.0 to no avail. I changed error reporting in configuration.php to debus and the the home page of the site is filled with errors relating to Helix Ultimate. Please take a look at: https://stannesedgeside.co.uk

Is it possible to manually install the previous version 2.0.10?

yes, you can reinstall content of that folder: plugins/system/helixultimate/

in case you don't have older Helix Ultimate plugin versions

2.0.10: helix_ultimate_plugin_pkg_2.0.10.zip

2.0.9: helix_ultimate_plugin_pkg_2.0.9.zip

just take all files from zip. Just replace files. Use FTP tool.

Which one you have: Joomla 4.1.5 (OK) or Joomla 4.2.0 (buggy one) ?

Joomla 4.1.0 Tried both plugins - no change! Gone as far back with database backup as I can. Tried analysing and repairing database in MyPHP - reports all OK. It looks like I'm faced with rebuilding the site from scratch, all because of the Helix Ultimate 2.0.11 update. I'm not impressed at all! If you can offer any further assistance I'd be grateful.

4 days ago all worked well, yes.

So maybe take backup from that day, and install it on test subdomain.

So check if all would be OK. That basic way tell you everything.

Have you checked server error logs? Maybe probalem is caused by extra plugin, not helix itself.
