Multiple Copies Of Font Awesome In My Quickstart Package

Template 4 years ago

I loaded the Quickstart package for the Varista template. I updated all components.

My SP Pagebuilder is version 3.7.9 and in the com_sppagebuilder\css folder I see two font awesome folders:

\components\com_sppagebuilder\assets\css\font-awesome.min and Version 4.7.0 \components\com_sppagebuilder\assets\css\font-awesome-5.min Version 5.15.1

My template, Varista, also has a copy: \templates\shaper_varsita\css\font-awesome.min This is version 4.3.0

The Helix framework I have is 2.5.8

Please give directions to UPDATE my system to ONLY use Font Awesome 5.

Certain very basic font awesome icons do not show up on my site and it may have to do with the different versions of Font Awesome. I am trying to load chart-line and lightbulb.

Note that I HAVE ALREADY turned OFF less to css in the template.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the inconvenience. The helixii and Helix3 based on templates do not include the latest font awesome. If you have any problem with the icon, please share your site URL and administrator access. I will check & let you know. Besides, Share a screenshot specific icon issue.

-Thanks

Thanks, Toufiq. I tried replacing templates/shaper_varsita/css/font-awesome.min.css which is version 4.3.0 with the other version in the same file: templates/shaper_varsita/css/font-awesome.min-5.css (I renamed this file to remove the '-5') and then NO ICONS showed up, except for a few inside the LMS template. So, I went back to version v.4.3.0 and looked up those icons on line and found that instead of chart-line, I had to use line-chart and the icon showed up.

The two minified files are slightly different in structure - maybe that is the problem?

I have to do a demo tomorrow, so I don't want to follow this up at this stage.

Thanks for your response, though.
