SP Page Builder Page Became Completely Fluid Instead Of Fixed Width

I am using SP Page Builder 3

I am not sure why but in this new redesign the SP Page Builder page "Home" was fixed width. But, now that I have content flowing into the page is has become fluid. Not just one row but the entire SP Page Builder page has become fluid. I have not been able to find a setting the make a page fixed width but I assume there must be one.

The page is at https://test1.theraliv.org

Thanks for your help,

Sean

I am hoping that the answer to this might be easy. The Quickstart has a fixed with for the SP Page Builder homepage. But, my site has a very fluid layout for the SP Page Builder homepage.

How can I control this? Please point me to some documentation.

Toufiq,

I am very grateful. It looked better with the fixed width that you somehow set.

Was that done with a setting that I should have been able to find and change or did you have to make modications in some other way?

The reason I ask is that I have been moving rows around and tweaking modules on the Home Page layout and somehow the page reverted to fully fluid. Is this a bug that you are going to be fixing or is this something I am doing.

Thank you very much!

Please load the module inside the page builder using Page Builder module addon. Then your fluid issue will solve. Thanks

Hello Toufiq,

I am so happy to hear that there is something that I can do to fix this problem which keeps recurring.

When you say to load the module inside Page Builder module addon, I am wondering if you are referring to a particular module that is causing my problem or if you are possibly saying that using the drag and drop interface does not work when moving a module from one row to another?

All of the SP Page Builder Modules came with the import of the SP Page Builder from the Quickstart.

Does this mean that if I want to move something I should instead recreate if fresh by clicking on the Addon link in the row or column and creating it again from scratch? If so is there a particular module creating this problem or do I need to recreate every module?

I am trying to understand what you are telling me.

Also, I wonder if this is related to another ticket I opened about why my Save and Save & Close buttons time out and never complete when I am trying to save a page. I just did an experiment and disabled ALL of my modules and then clicked on the Save button and then the page saved immediately. I then clicked on Save & Close and that also worked. I will update this new information into my other ticket.

Thank you for any additional guidance you can give to help me understand what I need to do in order to make the page fixed width again.

Toufiq,

That video clarified everything. And, it makes sense. I will mess up any page designed using the Page Builder if I try to assign a module of any type to a template position because that position is not in use by the Page Builder. I suspect this is especially true for columns. In this case I had placed a module in the "right" position.

Glad to know that you are now clear what was the confusion. Thanks
