Looking For Common Rows/sections For Many Pages.

SP Page Builder 4 years ago

Hi,

I need a solution for a tricky purpose.

I am making few pages with SP Page Builder. Now those pages have 80% common text (with different rows/sections).

I am looking for a solution to make these rows/section as common place. So, that in future if I make any little change, I won't have to change it to all those pages again.

I have tried few solutions but not it is either not happening or not practical.

1: Copy-Paste Rows

This will be too much for me if I make a change in the text. I have to do this to many pages again.

2: If I can load custom joomla modules which are created with SP Page Builder Editor.

Unfortunately Custom Joomla Module windows doesn't show SP Page Builder Editor.

3: Joomla Article made with SP Page Builder Editor.

I tried this as well but that page is now showing properly as I Choose addon - Article. In that I choose category which is alloted to that particular article. This is also not working.

Also, Joomla Article page doesn't show option like "Frontend Editor"

It would be better if is there is any solution like -

If I can load one SP Page to another SP Page. Like it is possible in Joomla Article by using an extension for it.

As you can see, it seems I am out of experiements. So, please help.

Thanks.

Regards,

Rahi

Hi. I have two ideas... that may work by now for you.

  1. For Joomla there is a module that can display content of a single article. Download for free, search name: HD-ArticleMod. (I didn't test with SPPB Mode yet)
  2. Use SPPB module with Text or RAW HTML addon(s) inside Module addon.

So editing content in a single article (1) or module(2) you can change content on many subpages. I know it's not perfect solution - but I used both of those and worked pretty well.

But I agree with you that something like common object would be very useful, especially for large website with many subpages where you have to use this same content many many times.

Hi Paul,

Thanks a lot. You have saved lots of my time.

Solution # 2 worked perfectly fine.

There a one small issue. Width of module is not fluid, If I make ROW fluide of the row where this addon is inserted then it shows too much fluid, see this - https://nimb.ws/dNP71R This is important for the aesthetic of the website.

A question in the same context: Will it be possible to use modal pop up addon to dislay SP Page Builder Module? It that happens, then the long page can be shorter.

Rahi

Thanks for access. But on Windows FireFox/Chrome the front-end looks fully OK, no design issue. So maybe check on different browser. Maybe it's just a browser cache.

About

Will it be possible to use modal pop up addon to dislay SP Page Builder Module?

Just check. If it would work or not. In theory it should.

Screenshot that you have sent is non-fluid row. When it is fluid, it is oddly spread. Generally it doesn't but when used module SP Page Builder and instered in an article.

In Article content there are problems with fuild rows - they are not so flexible as Pages does.

Please create a hidden article with Fluid row from that module - send me link to it - at least I will look and try to help.

You can work on the live pages. It's fine. Or duplicate one of them to experiment.

On other note, How to load a page created with SP Page Builder in Modal Pop-up or anyother pop-up?

2nd question. As I know not possible, maybe you need custom extension for this purpose. But for Joomla there are modules that can display other modules as pop-up in the window. Some of them are free other premium, search & compare on JED.

But I don't remember any popup module for component view.

Created a page "Test SPPB Module" with SP Page Builde. Please check the Joomla Module Add-on to see the fluid row isssue. You wanted me to create this page to work on this issue "fluid row" right?

Thanks. But before you said about Article not Page...

Generally it doesn't but when used module SP Page Builder and instered in an article.

...hence probably a misunderstanding from my side and test that I made.

I used few settings (also class name "container") inside your module and created row in row. And now is fully correct, OK. Now is your turn, your website. foto_5821_2021.png

Hi Paul,

It is working perfecly fine.

A last favor to make it clear for me -

May know what exact setting you applied and where? I hosetly could not locate the added custom css "container". Also, what does row-in-row means? I also did that but was not working.

Thx.
