SP Page Building Creating Links Component Links Instead Of Seo Friendly Links For The Category "Heritage"

I have a problem where one of our subcategories is generating component urls intead of search engine friendly urls.

The category is called "Heritage" and is a child of a category called "Jewish Life".

I am seeing error messages for URLs that I am pretty sure should be working as at this page:

https://test1.theraliv.org/jewish-life/heritage/children-are-people-too

Here are the errors: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11QEWvWEqpJenb8pfoL2N0M-gglzzAF_H/view?usp=share_link

Here is a link with a good url: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fuHiBGsLAxHtCjF3ZKLy54_f36CHCBIw/view?usp=share_link

I am only getting this error if I try to click on a link that is generated by the SP Page Builder. If I change the page to be a Category Blog page then then links are good.

Can you possibly help me figure out of this category may have somehow become corrupted. It is a category that we recently renamed to "Heritage". It was originally named Jewish Life before and was a subcategory or another category called Jewish Life. So we renamed the subcategory to get more logical urls.

Thanks for anything you can do to help me understand, and resolve, this problem.

Hi there!

Thanks for your query.

Could not find the error in your screenshots though. Would you please check that if you have created a menu and assign this category to the menu. If you do not want to show the menu you can hide it either. As you know, Joomla works in this way, Joomla article categories needs to be assigned to a menu item.

Hopefully, this will solve the issue for you then.

Best Regards

Thank you.

The image with the error is the one where the url at the bottom tht is being generated contains component information instead of the nice clean friendly url that is in the image without an error.

I am a bit baffled how this one category is out of step with all the others. I am also not sure what it means that Joomla article categories needs to be assigned to a menu item. I will google for that and hope to find a clue. Interestngly all of my other menus are working just fine.

I am sure this problem is not caused on your end and yet interestinly enough the problem only becomes visible when using the SP Page Builder. I have a feeling the Page Builder is uncovering some other problem caused on my side.

I think I have solved this problem. Somehow I figured that the original category must be corrupted. So, I created a new category and then moved all the items from the bad caegory into the new one. Then I deleted the bad one. I then renamed the new category to match the old one. Now the correct urls are being generated.

On Second thought... My recreating this category probably did NOT fix my problem. I believe I was going down the wrong track.
