Does Contact Form Store Data

Hi, Working on privacy policy and I was wondering if the contact form add-on stores any information in the site database or does it just send the data in the email? Cheers

Becuase of GDPR we decided to send e-mails only, it does not store sent messages!
This same if we talk about Form Builder addon.
In theory, it is safer for users if we are talking about the right to privacy. But as we both know, if you would respond user using the domain mailbox... the conversation is kept on your hosting service.

Accepted AnswerCheer for the response, that is good to know. I am no going down rabbit hole that are privacy policy and terms of service, all I wanted was small personal site for a few hundred people.
