Hi Nick,

Yes, it was only ONE front-end editor since 4.0.0.

Hi Paul and others,

What a pity Joomshaper chose to get rid of the back-end editor in SPPB! Sometimes it could be very useful to be able to access elements when too small to be able to grab in the front-end…

I've installed SPPB4 and my little experience is a pain in the ass… I can't get access to elements I try to find. It's hardly understandable to manage things.

For instance, I've installed Artion template. I want to change the image of Artion on the homepage (agency page) which appears at the bottom of the page and goes to Menu logo position after a while when scrolling. I just can't find the clue! Impossible to find the image! And the answer I got in the support is with back-end images clues. So, how do we manage? I'm very curious…

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Céline, next time please create a new topic.

SPPB 3.8 will be supported to Sep 2023 (this year) so you have plenty of time to upgrade to SPPB 4.0.x if the somehow current version is not what you wanted, or expected.

Not all templates are still fully ready for SPPB 4.0.x - so maybe, it would be better to recover website backup from the day when you had SPPB 3.8.x and keep that way for next few months.

Hi Paul

Thank you for helping Céline so much here. I am reading through the forum today for some reassurance as a new SP Page Builder customer.

I have read a few posts where people don't seem as happy with the front end editor for version 4. I am currently using version 3 as our website is still running Joomla 3 until we move everything up (Joomla 4, PHP 8 and to stop using Themler and Nicepage for all our pages).

We have committed to only using SP Page Builder hopefully now but are new to it. I wanted to know if these issues are because they are using different templates or if version 4 only has a front end editor and doesn't have the same functionality of the front end editor that version 3 has.

We have grown very frustrated with Themler and Nicepage last year and have commited to move away from them. We are wanting to only use your products for our website content now and are enjoying the front end editor of version 3 so far.

We are only using the Helix Ultimate template for our site now too

Could you please tell me if we can keep that learning curve solid when we move to Joomla 4 as we really can't take a step backwards when we move up to Joomla 4 in the coming months?

Looking forward to any help and apologies if I haven't put this in the right spot on the forum

I am just reading this thread and if this was a conversation between users I would add to this rather than start a whole new discussion without the above relevance and context

(...) doesn't have the same functionality of the front end editor that version 3 has.

It has already, or will have soon. Remember that SPPB 3.x aslo had front-end editor, that even had/has more options than back-end editor if we talk about animations effects.

But I fully understand that moving from back-end editor to front-end editor only is not easy, I have this same.

Thanks so much Paul

I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to help me understand things better.

I've found SPPB3.x and it's front-end editor. We love it and only use this so far. My colleague who is doing the work hasn't used the back-end editor as she prefers the front end editor so much more. She is used to Nicepage so enjoys the drag and drop front end. She is scared of the backend editor to be honest.

Our worry is that if we move to SPPB 4 and it's front end editor isn't as good as 3.x - we might be in a mess with our websites so am really pleased you have said it already has all the same functionality or will have soon.

I just got worried reading that some customers said they loved front end editor 3.x but weren't enjoying using 4.x now

Do you think all will work how 3.x did soon?

Thanks
