SP Simple Portfolio Image Compression

Extension 1 year ago

when you upload an image in sp simple portfolio the component applies a certain compression (.jpg). Can this compression also be turned off? We care about the details and you see that the image applies too much compression.

Thanks

Hello berd

I am not sure of what you are talking about. Please share an example to understand the issue. Take a screenshot and share via any platform. For example: Lightshot or Imgur

Best regards

Hi,

Here you can see the orignal image on the right and the image on the left is in SP Portfolio. when you zoom in you see that the white letters (area) is compressed and is not white anymore. Also Zoom in on my image you will see the difference. The images are the same in size 600 x 600 pixels

Apology for the delayed response. I do not find any visual difference between the images. It shows in the same quality.

Hi,

There is some compression for sure, See my original file and the upload file and see the difference. In the white area is compression. When you zoom in you see that there is al lot compression. So SP portfolio does something with the image after adding (uploading)

There is a compression mechanism applied. It cannot be changed as it is a core functionality of the component. However, you may control it with Custom CSS for your Portfolio images.
