Problem! Problem! Problem! With Moview Template.

I have installed the moview through quickstart 4 package. But then I discovered that this template has lots of problems.

  1. On the frontend- Warning Unable to find a user with the ID: 920 (every new user see it.)

  2. No one can't signup even if the user registeration is enabled from the backend. When user want to sign up, the error is- CALL TO UNDEFINED METHOD JOOMLA\CMS\APPLICATION\SITEAPPLICATION::ISADMIN() [I have tried to see if the demo site on joomshaper is working. But i am surprised they have not any register link. This made me suspecious. Perhaps they already know it and this is why they have turned it off. Else without signup, what is the point of login?]

  3. Can't add user from the admin panel too. The error message is - Call to undefined method Joomla\CMS\Application\AdministratorApplication::isAdmin()

  4. Can't edit administrator profile on the backend. Error message is- Call to undefined method Joomla\CMS\Application\AdministratorApplication::isAdmin()

  5. Can't move the hamburger menu to right corner. It stays on left to the logo always. no matter in which position you place.

  6. On mobile view, the pop up isn't responsive at all. it get cut from the top.

  7. The last section before footer which says, "Did you know?" get broken on mobile view.

  8. If you somehow login as administrator in the frontend, you will get this message- "array_replace(): Argument #1 ($array) must be of type array, string given". However if you downgrade your php version to 7.4, you will see that the you can't log out. (Although if you select PHP 8.0 on their shop search page, you will see that the Moview template is compatible with PHP 8.0 as they display).

So I can see, they have many problems with the Administrator side/User management side. My question is why they have not updated it for a long time?

Solved

This problem occurred for the acymailing. Now it has been disabled.

MostMostMostMost of issue are resolved now. Especially the user registration was very important. Now only remaining issue are 2 responsiveness issue. Which is login form on mobile devices and the Did you know? section on mobile devices. I have attached screenshot for your reference.

I would request you to upload this version to quickstart4 download as every user who is going to use this template is going to face same problems. As they are fixed by you, the update will help future users a lot.

Ad one more help needed. How to edit the drop-down menu of (Movie, Celebrities, Trailers, Genres) search of the header? or can we just remove the drop-down?

Yes. I am talking about this one.

The reason I have taken a backup and make the site down because although the layout was exactly what I want, but the infrastructure is different for the website what I want to build.

This is what I want- A website where I can put documentary video links and articles/blog posts. User will be able to comment. Nothing else. So the layout i have chosen because this is very very user friendly according to my plan. Problem is this theme made the site as a movie database, where user not only can search for movies, they also can review them. But I don't need that functionality. Rather I could show authors instead of artists. These things made the site very similar in layout but different in functionality.

So in a nutshell, I am searching for another theme/cms because of that.

Also I need bangla language support which joomla 4 don't have. (This is not your fault. It's a limitation of Joomla).

If you think that still I am able to get that basic functionality with the layout by using any of your theme, please let me know how I can achieve this. Also if you have any suggestions to make my site contents available in English, Spanish and Bangla language, please let me know.

And at last, I am very grateful to Joomshaper for their amazing work. And also you guys because you are very supportive.
