Issues With Upgrade From SPPB3 To SPPB5 (Table Text Formatting And Responsive Lay-outs)

Hi,

I've upgraded from SPPB3 to SPPB5. A couple of issues that came to light:

  • In SPPB5, the text in tables is automatically formatted in paragraph (< p >), while I want plain text. In SPPB3 I could just go into the code-editor, but in SPPB5 the text is formatted again when I close te code-editor;
  • For responsiveness I have created some add-ons that only show on desktop and others that only show on tablet and mobile. In SPPB5 there are some screensizes added (for portrait or landscape). These are not checked after the update from 3 to 5, which result in double add-ons on laptop i.e.. I had to check all pages and manually enable or disable visabillaty for quite a few add-ons. Is it possible to match these in the upgrade-process?
  • A SPPB Module (two rowes with flip-boxes) in admin doesn't load. I've tried front-end and back-end and both crash my browser. It completely clutters my RAM and browser memory, as well in Chrome as in Firefox. This is the module: https://cnsnunspeet.online-editie.nl/print

I also have an additional question. Is it possible to build in an option to reset the hits per page? I now have to go into PHPMyAdmin to reset these, which is a hassle.

Thank you in advance! And congratulations on SPPB5. It's a great improvement on SPPB4!

Another update: deletion of pdf-files in the media-manager doesn't work.

Hi,

Thank you for your respons. Here are my findings:

  • NOT SOLVED (removing < p > in code editor still results in broken table): In SPPB5, the text in tables is automatically formatted in paragraph (< p >), while I want plain text. In SPPB3 I could just go into the code-editor, but in SPPB5 the text is formatted again when I close te code-editor;
  • NOT SOLVED (editing in both frontend and backend still clutters my browsermemory): A SPPB Module (two rowes with flip-boxes) in admin doesn't load. I've tried front-end and back-end and both crash my browser. It completely clutters my RAM and browser memory, as well in Chrome as in Firefox. This is the module: https://cnsnunspeet.online-editie.nl/print
  • SOLVED: deletion of pdf-files in the media-manager doesn't work.
  • NOT ADDED: I also have an additional question. Is it possible to build in an option to reset the hits per page? I now have to go into PHPMyAdmin to reset these, which is a hassle.

Thank you in advance!

Regards, Roel

Hi,

Sorry for my delayed response, I was on a holiday.

Thank you for fixing the cache issue, works great!

The other issue still remains. I just added a row to a table. When trying to replace a hyperlink within a cell, the < p > format is automatically applied. That is an unwanted result. I want plain text, without formatting, but the only way to do this is to export the JSON and edit it, then import is again.

The page I edited is https://www.kamels.nl/joomla

Thank you in advance fot your reply!

Regards,

Roel (Kamels)

Sorry, this is the default behavior of the addon. It cannot be changed.

But that wasn't default behavior in SPPB 3. Can't you take some code from there to fix it?

You can download SP Page Builder 3 and replace the code from

components/com_sppagebuilder/addons/table_advanced

But I will not recommend this.
