Best Solution For Switching From A Proprietary Template To Wimble

Hi What do you recommend and what steps do I need to take to go from a proprietary template in joomla 3 to wimble in joomla 4?

I've had error messages and difficulties integrating wimble as the default template on a test site that went from joomla 3 to joomla 4.

I'm thinking of switching from the proprietary theme to the wimble theme in joomla. Once the site is correct, I'll switch to joomla 4. Would you see any risks or problems in not finding the job done?

Hello Ofi Thanks for this article, but I forgot to mention that I've already done about ten migrations to joomla 4. Either I updated the template, or I went back to cassiopea. My question is peculiar, because I have a hand-developed theme from which I've removed the coding, the modules... I'm wondering what's safer and simpler a) first migrate to joomla 4, then install and configure Wimble b) configure the site with Wimble under joomla 3 then switch to joomla 4? I think it would be interesting but I want to be sure not to lose a position or have a bug related to wimble (which I don't think has been updated for a long time!).

I'm obliged to start with Wimble, but I'm wondering in general if there are easier themes to migrate to in this particular context regards

Both ways will work. But the safe approach will be convert to Joomla 4. Then modify the template.

Hello

I successfully migrated joomla3/old theme to joomla4/wimble.

I'm trying to get the https://www.altius.fr/fr/protection-individuelle.html/?tp=1 locations back but I have a feeling it's going to be difficult? Would it be easier with another template to get closer to this https://www.altius.fr/fr/protection-individuelle.html/?tp=1 layout?

Can you help me start this migration as I've been delayed by previous migration attempts?

I don't get you now. Convert as you like. No problems.

Ok, I'm trying to be precise, it's just to make this adaptation quicker and safer, and not to ask you to do it again.

I find the old template and wimble very different in terms of module position. The main question is whether you'd recommend another joomshaper template that's not too different in terms of ergonomics? https://www.altius.fr/fr/protection-individuelle.html/?tp=1 layout?

Well, I imagine it's going to be difficult for you to recommend a template close to the old theme. I chose wimble, a bit at random as we're not exactly on the same presentations.

If you can't, can you just help me start the main menus so I can finalize this?

Hello Ofi

Could you help me get started with the main menus if I give you access?

This is the 1st time I'm switching from a very different (custom) theme to a joomshapper theme and I can't stick to the quickstarts) unless another joomshapper theme is easier to achieve their module placement? Regards

Hello Maybe ofi is not available? Can someone help me? or should I post a new one as the request is a bit different? I spend hours on wimble (not sure it's the most appropriate looking at the lens https://www.altius.fr/fr/protection-individuelle.html ), I can't get started with the 2 top menus 1/ top menu 2/ main menu

  • how to hide at the top [[FR] Menu principal]

and the old site : https://pic.infini.fr/HM0anVDJ/CqvVu0Kg.png

Hi Well, maybe you're no longer available and no one will take over. I've decided to split the question into 2 important, more precise questions. https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/26350 https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/26351

If you'd like access, which would save us time, please don't hesitate :-) my English isn't very good. Sorry Regards

Apology for the delayed response. You have to do it on your own. Sorry, we do not provide customization support.

But I can help you with guidelines. You have to take a Custom Header. Please follow this documentation. There you have to assign module positions and link modules to show. Please spend some time in the documentation and you will get it.

Hello Ok I hear but I'm disappointed because I bought a theme from you because it had better quality support than the others. As mentioned, you sell beautiful quickstart themes but otherwise it's not so easy after many attempts. It's not a question of doing it for me, but of initiating these 2 points. It's going to take us more time to discuss them.

Especially as you haven't fully and precisely answered my questions a) Firstly, isn't there a more recent and easier theme that already has this top menu and mega menu like on the old site? b) If a) isn't possible, I'd have preferred you to answer the 2 more specific questions, especially "and how to hide at the top [[EN] Main menu] ? )" https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/26350 regards

  1. If you do not care about the design, then you can use Helix Ultimate template.
  2. We will discuss on the new post.

Thanks for your reply, but it seems to me that I'll have less work to do and I'll need less from you if I go with a paid joomshaper template.
