Anchor Settings (IDs) To Jump To Pages, Posts, Etc. To Special Sections

Hi Joomlashaper,

I would like to link to certain parts of the website and place anchors on the respective headings. I also need this for the tables of contents for all my sub-pages. i have only found the possibility of providing whole rows with an id, which can be addressed with #xyz. however, the jump does not take place at the beginning of an article, but in the middle of the row. a cruel usability, the user no longer knows where he is and cannot find his way around. the jump must take place at the beginning of an article. an article is not read from the middle upwards and then downwards.

I have tried everything possible, but have not found a solution. In the end I updated to version 5 of SP Pagebuilder, but this did not solve my problem either. i can't imagine that there is no solution for this. This requirement should be part of the basics of good usability. and without good usability, we can just pack our bags these days.

what to do?

best regards

Andre

Hi.

Add Raw HTML addon where you need with the code like <div id="xyz"></div>. Delete all margins values from Style tab, use Advanced tab > Custom Position to fine tune anchor (aka addon) vertical position

Keep in mind that the anchor is tied to the left upper edge of the browser. Therefore, if you have a fixed header, you must compensate for its height using the negative value of the anchor Y axis position.

Hello I found in QuickStart of Qubic (One-Page Template made by SP PB) another way of solution for your question.

They use for anchor SectionID of Raw in SP PB. Assign Section ID to about-us-wrapper or something like that.

Then for menu item - "System Links - URL" and set like "#about-us-wrapper"
