Hi,

How can I disable the Joomla Intro image from showing on the category blog pages. I followed the following instructions, but there is no option for me to set te Intro IMage to Hide.

To disable the display of the Joomla intro image in the blog view for Helix Ultimate, please follow these steps:

Log in to the Administrator (Backend).
Go to Extensions > Templates > Styles.
Select the template style you want to edit.
Navigate to the "Blog" tab.
Set the "Intro Image" option to "Hide".
Click the "Save & Close" button.

Hi Alex.

Here is https://docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Layout_Overrides_in_Joomla.

Look at the Category Alternative Layouts and Alternative Menu Items sections

It is for J3, but for J4 the same

Hi Alex. I believe this instruction for those case if you use the Helix option to upload intro image.

If you upload intro images through standard Joomla means, then you just need to remove the images from there, or use CSS.

Hi Pavel & Mehtaz,

Yes I upload it through standard Joomla means. I am currently using CSS, but it is really not an ideal solution. I also cannot remove the intro image because I am using it in other applications. I created an additional category blog layout, but for some reason it is not showing in the Category Blog Menu Choose A Layout option (see screenshot: https://workdrive.zohoexternal.com/external/eefad375771049ad13651c85111235e1a719e891349b93bd3168569d1469796b). I followed all instructions listed here: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/template-views-override

I created an additional category blog layout, but for some reason it is not showing in the Category Blog Menu Choose A Layout option... I followed all instructions listed here:...

These instructions is not enough for Category Blog. You should also create a new type of menu item and add the necessary entries to XML. You can find information about how to make an override of Category Blog on joomla.org.

If you will done everything right, then the choice of the layout is carried out through the choice of your new menu item, but not through the choice of the layout in the settings of the menu item.

Hi Pavel, thanks for your valuable feedback. You don't happen to have the link to the specific instructions on joomla.org. I am not able to find it.
