SPPB Preview Won't Work

SP Page Builder 2 years ago

Hi, I set up my website with Joomla 4.3.3., SP Page Builder pro 5.0.8. Unfortunately, the preview of SPPB is not working. I have to clear the cache after every action in Joomla and, often enough, have then to open the Joomla preview of the site to see if my changes are visible. The SPPB preview is still not showing any changes. I've read about other people in the forum having the same problem, but obviously nobody knows what to do about is. According to the answers of the Joomshape guys, it is always everything OK and visible. That is not satisfying for me, it is annoyingly time-consuming to have to go 3 or 4 steps every time you change a dot into a comma. I should mention that I am working on a local pc. Is there anything known by now that might help?

Hi there,

I appreciate you reaching out. I sincerely apologize for this oversight. Will you please provide me the Joomla administrator access to check the issue? I will check & get back to you soon.

-Thanks

Good morning and thanks for answering me ;-)

I'd rather prefer you tell me where to look and what to do. I am working on a local server and I wouldn't want to give access to that. You were confronted with this issue already a few times, how did you resolve that? Thanks for your efforts!

Please check this points.

  1. If you previously worked on something and now it's not working, I suggest disabling any recently installed extensions and check if the problem persists.
  2. Check the current PHP version and compare it with the previous version.
  3. Enable Debug mode and Error Reporting to check if there are any issues.
  4. Check the console if you have any editing issue of Page Builder addons
  5. Create a staging site before updating anything and check if everything works fine there.

  1. I previously worked on another website with exactely the same extensions and versions. And everything worked fine. All I changed are the updates, if demanded.
  2. Current PHP version is 8.2 Working on XAMPP I cannot easily change that.
  3. I can't read that
  4. no idea what you mean
  5. What is a staging site?

Why can't you just upload a proper working version? The next problem is, that Icons are not shown at all on the website. This obviously not ready for proper work on all sorts of ends... I am very disappointed.
