Several Issues With The Shaper_helixultimate Header Section And Module Content Shown Only On Home Page

Helix Framework 2 years ago

URL: https://ccorch.net/ I started this build by installing the quickstart package for the Rythm template but after realizing that most of the pages were not working for me I abandoned trying to modify Rythm and turned to using a copy of the shaper_helixultimate default template relabeled to shaper_helixultimate-CCO as my default and removing most of the Rythm content.

  1. The Header section does not appear in the Helix Ultimate Layout Builder when Predefined Headers are turned off as is shown in the Default Modules Positions section of the documentation. This prevents me from changing the menu background color.
  2. The header height does not respond to edits when Predefined Headers are turned on (although the Logo height does respond properly).
  3. Because of the above issues I decided to remove and reinstall my shaper_helixultimate template. However after successfully reinstalling the template I am able to find it in the System/Manage/Extensions area but it is not listed in the System/Templates/Site Template Styles area.
  4. I have several pages where I have chosen to use other components (Quix and Custom Tables) to enter content on a default template page. On these pages the menu pull-down indicator (V) has been replaced with a square symbol.
  5. I have two modules, "CCO Associations1" and "CCO Associations2" which are public access and published on all pages in footer1 and footer2 respectively. They are showing properly rendered only on the home page.

Hi

  1. It is not exist by default. When you turn OFF Predefined Headers you should create new section called Header in Layout Builder by yourself.
  2. No idea. A conflict is possible due to use Rythm
  3. The same. I suppose you needed to remove both templates and especially the helix plugin (should be removed separately) before the new Helix installation
  4. There is a mistake in your code (in Custom modules content). There is missing slash before "images" src="images/...". Should be so src="/images/...". This is not related to Helix. Maybe JCE bug

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us.

  1. As Pavel said, you need to create a custom header then. Here is the related documentation: https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/custom-header
  2. As it's not happening now, I could not check.
  3. I can see the Helix Ultimate template there: https://prnt.sc/u3fHBZYOTVY1
  4. I have enabled font awesome option on behalf of you and down arrows are now visible for your main menu items: https://prnt.sc/wJpVaOe0X_3x

  1. Pavel is right. Image links has issues. Please make sure your image names doesn't have any white spaces there as well and upload them again. https://webhelp.jhsph.edu/support/solutions/articles/6000251494-image-file-naming-conventions

It may help!

Best Regards

Also thanks to Pavel, the slashes fixed the image modules and I have a better understanding of the layout builder.

In an attempt to assure naming compatibility and improve the organization of my site I have renamed my media folders using all lower case with no white spaces. There have been some glitches during this process, especially involving the Quix component that I have been using to get my site up and running quickly. After encountering an issue with the Quix image element being unable to access my folders and returning a 404 error (which Quix support is working on) I decided to rebuild the Quix pages using SP Pagebuilder.

I started rebuilding my pages by reviewing and reorganizing my article categories to match the current structure of my site. That process has also not gone well. I am finding that subcategories are not being listed under the proper parent category. At this point I am concerned that my site database has become so corrupted that the only practical way for me to fix my site is to rebuild it from scratch. I am not anxious to do this but if I have to do it I will do it on another Carlisle Chamber Orchestra alias URL or on MAMP. I will not install a quick-start package, just the helix template. I will also not install Quix, at least until I have a solid foundation backup that I consider useful. All my current backups include potential issues related to the installation and/or removal of unwanted content and templates.

I must say that I am very disappointed with encountering so many issues involving the renaming of files and folders in Joomla.
