Slideshow Massive Padding In Responsive Views

I have a slideshow on the homepage that links to vimeo video links.
In a large screen it looks fine, but as screen size goes down in size it puts an increasing amount of top and bottom padding around the slideshow, so by the time you get to mobile portrait view it is surrounded above and below by white space.

I have checked the padding and margins for the addon and for the row and they are all set to zero
This site has gone live today and we need to sort as soon as possible. Can you help me please?

p.s. while I am waiting to sort the out I have put a static image slideshow in place on smaller screens.

I have CSS tip that may help:
.sp-slider .sp-item .sp-video-background {
height: auto;}of course you can use with mix of @media screen and (max-width: VALUEpx) { .... } for chosen resolution.

The CSS tip helps by removing the blank space above the slideshow, but the blank space below it just increases the smaller the screen gets.
