Site Modules Back End Editing Page. Missing Content But Visible On Site.

I've just installed the latest SP Page Builder update with Joomla 4.4.1. Everything has been working until this latest update.

I have created a new Site Module. Very, very simple. Just a piece of text with a colored heading. I always use the back-end editor (the front-end editor is useless to me). I saved the new module. The text appears on the web site perfectly.

However, I wanted to make adjustments to the layout. So I opened the Site Module and 'Edit with Backend Editor'. The page opens and the content is missing. No text. No heading. No section. Just the words 'Start Creating Your Page'. But it already exists, and is still visible on the live site.

If I select 'save' or 'save and close', the text then disappears from the live site.

So at the moment, I can only add and delete content. But not edit existing content.

I have considered the possiblity of a timing issue with the web server but that seems unlikely to be the cause.

I have tried a page refresh (clearing browser cache) but this does not fix the problem.

Also note, other site modules also appear empty when opened for editing. This is very worrying!

An additional note to joomshaper support:

Programming and database design/maintenance work used to be my profession for 25 years+. I have been able to locate and edit the module text via the Joomla MySQL database in order to fix a grammatical error. While editing the relevant row, I noticed there are duplicate rows (id 173 and 174) in the table named (comf_sppagebuilder) each containing the same content (simple text with heading), however the titles are different. One has title 'SPPB - Buy online message (2)' and the other has 'SPPB - Holiday closing message' which is the correct title. This looks to be the result of my first duplicating an existing, similar module which made sense as I thought it would save some time. In that particular instance, I changed the title before saving but then when I reopened the page I found the previous heading remained unaltered and the content I'd created was missing. Given that I did not see the result I was seeking, I then deleted the duplicate site module and created a new one. Deleting the duplicate site module appears to have left an orphan record (row) in the comf_sppagebuilder table. In my experience, that isn't normally a good or desirable thing. The comf_sppagebuilder row with the correct title must be associated with the new module I created. That is the one I edited via MySQL and was able to confirm the text adjustment is now visible on the website.

I don't mean to be unfair and I suppose you must be under great pressure. However, this gives me the impression your team of developers or those in charge of user acceptance testing aren't doing their job thoroughly enough.

I'd really welcome your assistance.

For anyone reading this post, please note the problem described appears to have been fixed immediately after I installed the latest update SP Page Builder v5.2.4.

I have not yet carried out extensive testing but now when I open site modules the original content is visible.

I think my faith has been restored. But only slightly.
