Floating Article Table Of Contents

I'm trying to figure out how to create a floating table of contents for an article that moves up and down on the side as you scroll through the article. I wondered if it was possible to use the new floating left/right floating module position to achieve this somehow?

Any help/ideas would be appreciated. I prefer not to use another third party extension etc. as a solution.

Hi Andrew.

As I remember in Joomla (since J1.5) in Articles there is "Page Break" that creates List Of Content > https://docs.joomla.org/J4.x:Article_Pagination

then using Custom CSS you can add Sticky/Fixed position for it.

Other ideas should be on forum.joomla.org

OR extra options if you need that for "one" Article only:

  1. Use Sticky Left/Right column from Helix Ultimate > Layout with Menu module that will have URL links.
  2. Or, on JED find and install Sticky Module
