Why did Simple Porfolio URL Change With Joomla 3.9.26 Update

Hello,

We are running Simple Portfolio 2.01 on Joomla 3.9.26.

Before updating our portfolio URL's had this URL format: https://example.com/portfolio-details/item/alias

Now after the udpate, the /item/ part of the URL is gone breaking thousands of posts. The URL to load the same page is now https://example.com/portfolio-details/alias

How can we go back to the original URL format? We do not want to edit thousands of posts.

Hello mbrando

We removed this URL Legacy option in the latest SP Simple Portfolio. Here is com_spsimpleportfolio_2.0.zip. Install it on your site and do not update SP Simple Portfolio.

Hello Ofi,

So to keep moving forward we can keep the current version and have to update the URL's or install the above 2.0 version and not get updates?

Yes, the old version has the URL type that you want. So, if you do not update to the latest, then you can use the old URL type.

Okay, We opted for fix url's and run the newer portolio.
