Multi-Factor Authentication - MfA

Hello Toufiq.

As mentioned, I am opening this thread to follow up with the other one about W3C Authentication to share some sensitive data with you.

In the video you shared you showed the activation of MfA via back end, but our users will not have access to the back end, they will only be able to update their account / profiles via front end.

When I set the template to Helix Ultimate, it only shows the Passkey option when I change the template to Cassiopeia, then the MfA is accessible and can be activated.

So, my problem is not on the login form, it is on the Edit Profile page that is not loading correctly on Helix Ultimate. In the Hidden Content is the link of the screen capture I made to show you.

Thanks, Diego

Hello Toufiq.

Any updates on this? This is extremely important to my project and I really wouldn't like to use different templates on the site just to be able to show the MfA option on the front end for my users.

Thansk you. Diego

Hi Toufiq.

I believe I didn't make mysefl clear.

  1. My users can't have Super User privileges
  2. They will not have access to the Administrative area
  3. I am not talking about Pass Key
  4. The problem is with the Multi Factor Athentication

When the defaut template is Helix Ultimate, the Multi Factor Authentication is not visible on the front end for usesr to enable or disable it.

As you could verify the Multi Factor Authentication plugin is enabled.

When I change the default template to Cassiopeia, the Multi Factor Authentication is available on the Edit Profile page n the front end for registered users.

So, there is a problem with Helix Ultimate that hides this option (Multi Factor Authentication) on the front end.

Great Toufiq!!! Thank you very much.

It is working.

Please, could you explain what you did to correct?

This is my development environment and I'll need to update a little the layout of the Edit Profile page, so I'd like to understand what was the problem and, if it is possible for me, be able to make the correction.

Also, apply this correctio if by any chance the MfA desapears after running an upadate of the template.

Best, Diego

Thanks for the explanation. I have a folowup question.

I didn't make any edits to this file, but was it a problem on my installation or is ti relates to Heix Ultimate? I mean, is it something that you guys will need to fix on the template?.

Best regards, Diego
