*Required Feature Improvement* - Order Tracking Info

At the moment, when entering order tracking information in to an order in EasyStore, you need to select a Shipping Provider, although this is not from the list of shipping providers installed within EasyStore; and then need to input the complete teaching URL where the field description suggests just the actual tracking number should be entered.

Having entered this information, there is NO WAY of seeing the information within any order screen; it is only shown on an email to the customer if that ridiculous is checked at the time of entering the tracking info.

What should happen

  1. There should be a Settings option to pre-configure Shipping Providers and their base tracking URL.
  2. Those Shipping providers should then be auto-populated into the list available when adding tracking info in an order, with the Tracking Number field now containing only the actual tracking reference number, which would then be appended to the pre-configured URL in tracking emails etc.
  3. Finally, the tracking info (with link) should be visible in both the front and back-end order views for both admins and customers.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. I understand the challenges you're facing with the current setup for order tracking in EasyStore, particularly with the selection of Shipping Providers and the visibility of tracking information.

Unfortunately, at the moment, there isn’t a feature available in EasyStore to pre-configure Shipping Providers and their base tracking URLs. Additionally, tracking info visibility is currently limited to customer emails if that option is selected during the entry of the tracking info.

We agree that a more streamlined solution, like auto-populating Shipping Providers and displaying tracking information for both admins and customers in the order views, would be highly beneficial. I will forward your suggestions to our development team for consideration in future updates. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to improve the platform.

@Toufiq,

Please provide a link whereby feature requests and bug reports for EasyStore can be tracked - we need to ensure all bugs are resolved in a timely manner and new feature requests (often for critical missing functionality) is considered and prioritiesed correctly.
