Don’t You Feel Like You’re Selling A Product That’s Still In The Testing Phase?

I am very dissatisfied and extremely frustrated to be paying for something that should be offered as a finished product, not as a test version.

Don’t you think you’re treating your users like cash cows?

I have no problem paying for a functional component like SP Page Builder. However, your Easystore component is clearly unfinished and in no way justifies charging a subscription fee for its use.

Out of the four issues I encountered, whether they were due to coding errors, developer oversight, or simply poor usability, three were met with responses like: IMPOSSIBLE - SORRY - IN PROGRESS.

As for the fourth issue, it was I who provided you with the solution for your own code using my own code.

I find it unacceptable to charge people for a system that doesn’t work properly, is flawed, and unoptimized.

If you needed testers, all you had to do was ask your community, and I’m certain many would have gladly volunteered to report any design and coding issues.

Instead, you chose to sell an unfinished product, with bugs, code omissions, and basic checks missing for an e-commerce system.

The first time I launched a client’s site with the Mollie plugin, there was a major issue because order confirmation emails were sent even when the payment was canceled. I had to dig into your code myself to quickly implement a patch. No help or response from you assisted me in solving this problem.

Fortunately, it was for an acquaintance; otherwise, what would have happened to my reputation?

I would like to know your thoughts and position on all these issues.

Do you think this is acceptable?

I’m sorry for being so blunt, but I find it outrageous to ask for payment for a service that doesn’t deliver.

We should all be refunded until you make this system functional.

Once again, I’m only talking about Easystore, as SP Page Builder is an excellent component.

You are damaging your reputation by proceeding in this manner.

JoomShaper have been told about the quality and missing features in EasyStore many times. The outcome of that have been a lot of promises, but so far we've seen no concrete changes in attitude / development commitment, except for the re-design of EU tax rules, which we're promised sometime in September (bear in mind it was first reported as an issue in May or earlier).

You can request a refund OR an extra 6 months on your JoomShaper subscription due to the faults and failings in EasyStore, but you'll not get both (so if you have a refund, you'll never get a fixed version of EasyStore).

Support and fixing of glaring, PRODUCTION PROHIBITING bugs is still very hit and miss - sometimes it takes a week and numerous chase emails before support will even investigate an issue properly. Prior to that, they may try to avoid investigating issues by pointing customers to innocent 3rd parties or claiming the issue is not with EasyStore.

The amount of testing and fixing that you, I, and every other "user" of EasyStore are doing now - JoomShaper should actually be paying us to be their beta testers!

What is that reply meant to mean??? It says nothing. It tells us nothing. It is the usual copy / paste ignore all customer issues statement that we've seen every time someone critisizes the quality of JoomShaper's work.

This must not be easy for your team but they decided it themselves when they released an unfinished product.

If you don't feel able to solve serious problems during payments or if updating the component is too heavy for your team, you can still open source the complete code on github.

I'm sure you'll have a community that will improve and fix bugs in no time.

Dear Stuart Clark,

Why do you assume that I am ignoring this post? You guys said we should test the product properly before releasing the product. And I apologized to you from my team and said I will inform our team so that they can test properly and fix the issues ASAP. That's the case and this is the topic of this thread. Then why do you say these WORDS in this post I don't understand. However, sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks and Regards

There is a significant lack of clarity and a worrying tendancy to blame customers for issues. That is coming accross in how you address customers.

All we ask is to be kept informed and provided real timescales for future releases.

It shouldn't be necessary for customers to ask JoomShaper to fully test their products - this should happen by default. Alas, it seems the testing is not as thorough as it needs to be - hence the multiple threads relating to bugs!
