I have found a big problem on SP page builder 5.3.8
This is the second time the problem appears.
I am on page 1 in edit mode from the front-end.
I save modifications done page 1, then works fine.
I close page 1
I go on page 2 in edit mode from the front-end.
I save modifications done page 2, then works fine.
I close page 2
I go back on page 1 and all the content is gone.
This is very problematic.
Could you please investigate?

Today, I checked your backup site on our development server and made some modifications. The pages appear to be in good shape. I have already mentioned the "Check Content" method as a solution. However, if you encounter any issues again, please provide details as described in point number 5.
Additionally, we will remove our development staging server, which contains your backup, within the next two days.

I did a backup of MySQL database, after the problem appears.
COuld it be more interesting to send you database export + file to reinstall the website locally?
Sorry. I have told you to keep a backup for yourself before sharing the Joomla administrator credentials. If some things happen wrong while fixing the site, the backup helps to restore the site.
Please share the Joomla administrator user and password in the hidden content box for better investigation.

unfortunately I am unable to provide a screencast because the problem was punctual.
I had this problem 2 times on 2 different website, and when the pages were deleted, we have added the content twice to continue to work.
so for the moment, I don't know howx to reproduce it.
and I don't know from your side I you can investiguate on some logs files.

FWIW I have been encountering the same issue recently. It does not happen every time but it has happened enough for it to cause me to download the json every time before I start work on amending a SPPB page. Otherwise restoring a backup is a nuisance and risks overwriting over changes that were made to the site.

As I already said, impossible to provide a screencast because the problem does not happen every time.
As we don't know when the problem happen, impossible to predict and perform a screencast.
I can only tell you what happened and approximately when it happened.
It happened twice in late July or early August. Both times, I did some front-end editing. When I pressed save, everything disappeared.
I looked in the database at the table "sppagebuilder" and the content field was blank (not null, just empty).
I restored the database and tried again. This time using the backend editor and it happened again.
So, i restored it a second time but this time I made the edit in notepad++ and then pasted it into the content field in the database.
A few weeks later, i had a similar experience with a different page.

FWIW It happened to me again twice a few days ago. I made a lot of changes on the page, but I think that the common denominator might be when I try to copy-paste a format from one section to another (eg copy paste some custom css).
I can't be sure but if you are looking to replicate the problem, you might want to try that.

After careful observation, we have assumed that some pages created with the older SP Page Builder (SPPB) version 3 may be causing issues in SPPB version 5.
In SPPB version 3, page content is stored in the 'text' field, whereas in version 5, it is stored in the 'content' field.

To address this, we recommend the following:
This action will copy the content from the 'text' field to the 'content' field.
This process should resolve the issues. If the problem persists after these steps, please provide additional details for further investigation.

Thank you for your feedback and the solution.
But unfortunately, this is not possible for us to do that.
You have to understand one thing.
If we create websites for customers, we manage hundered websites (when I say we, I mean, agencies, devs, tech guys, etc...).
So it is definitively not possible to connect one by one to each website and click page after page on all websites.
We have some websites with more than 200 pages, so I let you calculate the time lost if we have to implement your solution.
As software provider, when you deliver a new major release (ex : from SPPB v3 to v5), you have also to provide a realistic solution to fix migration problems for professional people.
Doing a manual check content on thousand pages is not acceptable.
So please provide a massive realistic solution like a SQL script or something which can be deployed massively on all our customers websites.

Here are some important updates for you:
I have thoroughly investigated your issues multiple times in both the local environment and our development live server. I tested by adding and editing your every pages, but I was unable to reproduce the problem even once. You can also try to reproduce the issue on our development server. Please check the credentials provided in the hidden content.
Our development team has also reviewed the issue. They noted that when an old page created with SP Page Builder 3 is edited in SP Page Builder 5, it is automatically converted to the SP Page Builder 5 format. So there is no need for bulk migration for all pages from SPPB 3 to SPPB 5
If a page is saved in SP Page Builder 5, the deleted content behavior should no longer occur for that page in the future.
Our developers have identified an approximate solution: the issue occurs when the content table is [], but the text field contains SP Page Builder content.
The recommended solution: If a user finds that a page’s content has been deleted, they should immediately export the database and provide the page ID to us. It’s important not to add or save any new content to the page before reporting the issue.
If we can successfully reproduce the issue, we will implement a fix in the next release. Therefore, we kindly request your assistance to help us understand the problem better.

I faced same issue, I created full page with multiple sections and removed all content when I save and reload editor page.

I faced the same issue yesterday in version 5.4.4 I didn't upgraded from any old version. I created new page and added all the content in it and saved it, after adding more content in the page I saved the page it sudden refreshed the page and whole content gone, page blank. I exported the page after firsted saved so I re imported it again and the did changes and again after saving everthing gone it happened 4-5 times on same page.
Also there is a stucking issue as well when we click save it keeps rotating save button but didn't save the page so we need to refresh the page, this issue is more happening in V5.4.4.
