Installation Error.....Why is This Being Difficult?

EasyStore 10 months ago

Ive been using SP PageBuilder for years now. Decided to try EASYSTORE. But I cannot get it to completely install and it errors out for one reason or another. From what I can tell, the requirements for Pagebuilder and Easystore are the same, so I should be good on those parts.

No idea what it means. I would think this should easily install since I have PageBuilder.

(Error) Error installing component

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') GROUP BY c2.id) AS c2 SET published = c2.newpublished WHERE id = c2.' at line 6

I can provide other info....but not sure what is needed. As I stated, I would think this would work since PB is working and always has.

Hello Brian,

Thank you for reaching out to us, and I apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing.

Please, check the system requirements for your database version, as the issue may be related to the database version or structure. To address potential database structure issues, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Extensions > Database and click Fix to ensure your database structure is up to date.

Additionally, please check if ModSecurity is enabled on your hosting. If it is, try disabling it temporarily and see if that resolves the issue.

Also, clear your browser cache and Joomla’s cache to rule out any cached data causing conflicts.

If the issue persists, please provide your cPanel and Joomla admin access in the hidden content section so I can assist you further. Before doing so, please ensure that you have taken a full backup of your site.

Thank you, and I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Thanks for trying.

Ive completely given up. SPpagebuilder and Helix work just fine when uploading. Tried Store 6 times and each time it crashes the website on the front end. Have to go back and and reinstall site from a backup every time. Not worth the days ive lost. Should not be this hard.

Ive tried everything I know to do to make this work. I can most things to install but the stuff from this company constantly gives issues. Almost acts like it times out....sometimes it does a partial install that destroys the front end until I fix with backup restore.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I noticed that your site is performing very slowly. I attempted to install Akeeba Backup to create a backup and troubleshoot on my local PC, but I encountered a 504 Gateway Time-out error.

I recommend contacting your hosting provider to investigate the server’s performance issues. Alternatively, you could try restoring the website backup on your local PC to verify if the problem originates from the server environment. Alternatively, you can also provide me a backup using Akeeba Backup if possible.

Thank you!

Ok...I did a restore as I saw you had the same issues. Hosting company (networksolutions) says it has nothing to do with them.

Im going to start a second FTP setup and site. I will upload and install joomla from scratch. I will not go any further than that. I will then try to add Pagebuilder and Easystore. If there are issues, even with the new clean site, we will go from there knowing that there is very little to check into as its a clean blank slate.

My only question to begin is this... Do you all have a file that installs both joomla/helix/pagebuilder all together as one file....or do I need to continue to use the joomla/helix file then add pagebuilder and easystore after the fact? I typically build the site with the joomla/helix duel file vs just the joomla and adding helix after the fact.

I just want to make sure im doing things as best suggested so we can easily find the issue. Only way I know to do this is start a site from scratch before adding modules or components.

Hello,

The issue seems to be related either to the database or the hosting environment. To help you troubleshoot further, I can provide you with access to our testing environment that includes a Joomla installation. You can try installing SP Page Builder and Easy Store there—you won’t encounter any issues.

Alternatively, you can set up a local environment on your PC using XAMPP, WAMP, or MAMP to test the installation.

If you are setting up a new FTP environment, you can start with an eCommerce template from our website: https://www.joomshaper.com/joomla-templates/category/ecommerce

These templates include SP Page Builder and Easy Store pre-installed for your convenience.

Let me know if you need any further assistance!

Thanks,

Going to try a template even though I dont use templates. Installing all at once together should fix the issue as ive never had problems installing joomla. I suppose the future issue will be updating when updates come out. Will error out when installing new updates. But all I can do is try. Thanks for the help and Ill keep this post open for a week and update it so you know where I ended up.

BTW...ive used xampp before. Its is a last ditch effort if I need but id rather work on my server for now.

Thanks and will keep this updated.

I downloaded a template that has the entire joomla package, pbp, and easystore included. Upon install, im still getting errors.....and once again, has to do with easystore. I cant even get through the install now. Each error incudes easystore in some fashion.

TO BE CLEAR.....this is a full new install of all joomla and extras in a secondary hosting file outside of the main website. Not install of individual components.
