Size Of Images Shown As A Gallery In Blogmode

I have a page on my website that shows an image gallery, created via the Blog Media-tab in the article and then choosing the article format "Gallery". The images uploaded are rather big, but the gallery is shown in full width in the article, which makes them look even bigger. Is there a way to limit height or width in a gallery like that? https://miskottestichting.nl/index.php/component/content/article/fotoverslag-studiedag-08-november?catid=9&Itemid=101

Hoi Hugo,

To be honest, it's not the best way to create/insert gallery inside the article. You don't have control how images are displayed, what size, resolution etc. And after all, right now, looks bad. People are used to the gallery in the grid system, at least in Desktop/Laptop view.

It's much better to put intro image, then some paragraphs of text about what that gallery is (event details), then under use gallery plugin (shortcode). For example you can use one of those:

  • Simple Image Gallery (by JoomlaWorks)
  • Sigplus (by Levente Hunyadi)

2nd option would be to use Page made by SP Page Builder - where you have Image, Text and Gallery addon inside.

3rd option would be using Gallery component (Phoca Gallery or others).

Customizing current Gallery from Helix may be too complicated for you. No offence.
