Future Request: Hellobar As A Part Of Pagebuilder

Hi, Now that the hollydays are comming, I would like to add a quick message at the top of the website. We Dutch people don't like popups and click them away before reading. Also al lot of people making use of a popup killer extention in their browser. I see at this time (5 -12-2024 ) an top bar on this website with the Blackfriday deal. I am searching for the same technique only a differend message but cannot find it. I also like the close button X on the right side of the screen. Ofcourse I can make a module that being displayed at the top of the screen but than without a close button.

If I had something like that top bar I could send manny messages to my customer. Can you consider to make such top bar a part of Pagebuilder?

Hoi Rob,

I think We have solution for you. Use "Alert" addon, it has text field and (x) that you can use to close that box - it hides area. You can use it in SPPB module. Remember to remove padding & margin inside settings.

Nobody likes Popups - hahahah - across Europe.

Oh YES!

  • Create a module shoose pagebuilder module.
  • Give the module a name and click " do not display the name"
  • Choose the postition "TITLE" and save the module. ( I would prefer to have it at the very top of the page, but that is not easy to set with the helix ultimate template) so I use plan B.
  • Edit the module with pagebuilder at the back of the website.
  • Add the alart button so the message can be closed but do not choose a style for the button (color) if you like to ad a background image
  • Add a message: for instance "We like you to have a nice hollydays and a super cool newyear".
  • Edit the Section to not have any spacing.
  • If you know css edit the closebutton the way you like.
