Tried upgrading to 5.4.4 and installation finished with error: JInstaller: :Install: Error SQL Duplicate column name 'catid'. I am using Joomla 4.4.9 on site https://www.tcf4.com. The error is happening on all the pages under menu items "Projects" and "Watch" but one example is https://tcf4.com/index.php/tcf4-productions-projects/legacy-makers

Now I am getting the error "htmlspecialchars(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, array given" all over my website!!!

Because my site was down, I had to restore from backup. Please let me knw how I can install the update without this error!

Thank you for your patience. I have updated your SP Page Builder to the latest version, 5.4.4. Upon review, I did not encounter any errors. Please check on your end and let me know if you experience any issues.

Hello Bill Clements

Thank you for your message and my apologies for the inconvenience and the delay in response due to the weekend. I understand how critical your site is, and the issues you’ve faced during the SP Page Builder upgrade are concerning.

Resolving such issues requires a thorough investigation, as they could be related to database schema conflicts or PHP version mismatches. To assist effectively, it would be best if you could recreate the error. There are a couple of options:

  1. Subdirectory Setup: You could create a subdirectory on your hosting and upload the backup there. This would allow you to recreate the error in a controlled environment without affecting your live site.

  2. Provide the Backup: If preferable, you can share the backup file with me, and I can examine it directly.

Please let me know how you’d like to proceed, and I’ll do my utmost to assist you swiftly.

Best regards

I have set up a subdirectory setup as requested. I have provided access. I have not updated Page Builder yet. It is still running 5.4.2.

Please advise how you would like to proceed so that we can get this resolved.

Thank you.

Yes I do. This is strange...I have 15 website and only 1 have this issue. Seems to be a third party or a plug in not updated. No solution for the moment.

The issue occurred due to some files missing during the update process. I resolved it by uninstalling SP Page Builder and reinstalling it. This approach successfully fixed the issue.

If you plan to try this process, I strongly recommend taking a full site backup beforehand to ensure the safety of your data. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards
